Mehmed IV. (osmansko turško: محمد رابع, Meḥmed-i rābi‘), pozan tudi kot Avci – Lovec, 19. sultan Osmanskega cesarstva (1648-1687) in 98. kalif islama, * 2. januar 1642, Carigrad, Osmansko cesarstvo, 6. januar 1693, Carigrad, Osmansko cesarstvo.

Na prestol je prišel s šestimi leti po krvavem državnem udaru, v katerem je bil ubit njegov oče Ibrahim I.. Njegovo vladanje je pomembno zaradi dokončne spremembe vsebine sultanovega položaja, ker je večino svoje izvršilne moči prenesel na svojega velikega vezirja.

Emetullah Rabia Gülnuş Sultan (Ottoman Turkish: گلنوش امت الله رابعه سلطان; c.1642 – 6 November 1715) was the chief consort of Ottoman Sultan Mehmed IV, Haseki sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1664 to 1687, as well as the mother of Ottoman sultans, Mustafa II and Ahmed III and the Valide sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1695 to 1715. She was one of the prominent figures during the era of the Sultanate of Women which spanned for nearly 200 years and ended with her death in 1715. She is considered to be the last powerful imperial consort and Valide sultan in Ottoman history.
